Red Dale

The Red Dale Gold Project is located approximately 50km southeast of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, within Lefroy Exploration Limited’s (ASX: LEX) 100%-owned Lefroy Gold Project. The deposit is situated within granted Mining Lease M25/362, approximately 4km northeast of the Lucky Strike gold deposit and immediately north of the Randalls Gold Processing Plant.

Red Dale is a paleochannel-hosted gold deposit, with mineralisation occurring predominantly within ancient river sediments comprising quartz-rich sands and gravels. The gold-bearing horizon extends over approximately 900m of strike and forms part of a broader north–south trending palaeodrainage system.

Mineral Resource

In June 2020, Lefroy announced a 28% increase in the Red Dale Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), following a successful reverse circulation (RC) drilling program.

The updated JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate comprises 670,000 tonnes at 1.18g/t Au for 25,230 ounces of contained gold, reported at a 0.5g/t Au cut-off grade.

The majority of the resource is classified in the Indicated category, reflecting the relatively simple geological setting and continuity of mineralisation.

Exploration Potential

Exploration undertaken by Lefroy has demonstrated the potential for extensions to the existing mineralisation and identified additional targets within the broader paleochannel system.

The March 2020 drilling program extended the known mineralised channel to the north, identified a new zone of gold mineralisation within paleochannel sands and highlighted potential tributary channels.

The Company interprets the gold mineralisation at Red Dale to have originated from one or more nearby primary bedrock sources, providing additional exploration opportunities beyond the established paleochannel resource.

Red Dale represents an established gold resource within the Lefroy Gold Project, with opportunities for resource extensions and further exploration targeting potential primary gold mineralisation.
